Typical-Case Analysis of Mixed-Critical Real-Time Systems
Sophie Quinton, TU Braunschweig
Abstract:
We present a new approach for response time analysis of mixed-critical real-time systems. We focus on mixed-critical systems in which different functions exhibit different levels of time-criticality. Our method computes, in addition to the usual bounds on the worst-case response time of tasks, weakly-hard bounds on these response times. It is based on a model to describe sporadic overload and bursts at the input of the system. We show how to derive from such a model a set of weakly-hard bounds on the response time of each task. Experiments demonstrate the applicability of the approach.
